757 - Conversation

1. Aerodrome Reference Code (wingspan / gear span):

  • 757-200 wingspan: 38.05 m

  • 757-300 wingspan: 38.05 m
:backhand_index_pointing_right: This puts it into Code D (36–52 m wingspan).

2. Approach Category (Vref speed):

  • Typical approach speed: 140–150 knots depending on weight.
:backhand_index_pointing_right: That falls into Category D (141–165 knots).

:white_check_mark: Conclusion:

The Boeing 757 (both -200 and -300) is an ICAO Code D aircraft, larger than 737/A320 family (Code C), but smaller than widebodies like 767, 777, A330, etc.

The C-130 just stuck out to me because I had read about it the day prior, lol. Also, I could’ve sworn the game version is the C-130J, since the code in game is C30J

Tell this to the F70
Who’s been mis categorized then

Very well could be! If that’s the case, would probably be that they labeled it as such but used a C-130H or earlier model, just like how most of the current C-17 model is actually the Chinese clone (especially the engines). Anyways, I digress haha

I’ve not got Fokker 70 yet as their mismatch with the livery I use, but yes you’re right it’s a C.

Yes but my point it, I kind of understand some planes being miscategorized to accomodate stand allocations for now, but as a temporary fix, I don’t see a problem with the 752&F being a C plane for a while the 753 can be a D

Is it really? Haha, maybe the Y-20 is coming sooner than we think. It does look fairly accurate, so who knows. But this is off topic, so back to the 757

Yeah I was comparing it to the C-130 purely based on wingspan, as I’ve seen some of the longer planes of any classes park like.. crooked? You can see it with some stands and the CRJX, for example, so I wasn’t really considering fuselage length.

Now that we’ve seen the B752 model in full in the lastest dev blog, it does make me curious if that is the default configuration for all player 757-200s (Pratt & Whitney engines with 6 doors/4 overwing exits) and if any of the other variants of the 757 will have Rolls Royce engines or winglets by default, or if there’s any plans to allow players to choose engine, winglet or door variants in the future?

The 757-200CF is a nice addition, I wonder if that’ll be for airline liveries only or unlockable alongside the B752F?

Isn’t it a different cargo door entirely?

I’m not sure how much different it is compared to a run of the mill B752F in terms of door sizes or statistics, all I know is it’s a converted aircraft so I’d imagine window outlines still visible but they are blocked out?

Reviving the 7 month old 757 conversation to ask, who likes the 757 and who wants more liveries?

Poll idea edit,

  • One likes the 757 and one would like more liveries
  • One likes the 757 but one is satisfied with the liveries (I can cope with this)
  • One dislikes the 757 but one wants more liveries (Bit weird but okay)
  • One dislikes the 757 and one doesn’t want more liveries (Ew go take a long look in a mirror and reconsider)
  • Other (Pls explain  )

Oh you fully know I am my friend. I’m definitely in the camp of wishing we have MAN soon or at canary island as a generic airport and then all of our iconic classic 757 charter liveries and I’m in heaven

Likewise, curious to see what the general consensus is on it. MAN with full 2000-2026 charters would be a dream. Devs would lose out as I’d never spend money on other airports but can guarantee I’d be doing it at MAN lol.

I’d hope the INN remodel could finally get a couple more 757s that flew there introduced, but even just having Monarch 757s available at INN would be a nice boost in variety.

Alongside new liveries, I do hope that some of the liveries the remodel released with get some improvements in the future, mostly the Jet2holidays 757 and the door configuration on the American 757.

Is this even a question lol? I just need these 4 and I think I might be satisfied but more are always welcome!

TUI, paired with these are my most wanted 757s, put them with Monarch at INN and you’re onto something!

Thought I’d ask because the news on 757’s since they dropped has been quiet and I was wondering if there was any real popularity for the type lol. AA Chrome and Aer Lingus would be awesome to see.

2 additions I’d love to see,
