Hi can someone please tell me why there are 2 choices of A332 airplanes to purchase ,are they not the same ?
Different engines
As LeChonk has said, it’s to represent the different engine variants of both the A332 and A333. The only issue with this which I can’t help but consider is what’ll happen when the A330 gets updated at some point to match the standards of more recent aircraft models, if it’ll keep the engine variants or they get replaced with something else.
Rolls-Royce vs GE (:
Thanks…how do I know which is Rolls Royce
Those are the longer engines.
Thank you
Which is kind of odd/funny because the A340-300 has the cigar engines, but the 343 uses (rather infamously) CFMs 56s, the same engines as the 737 (though a different variant, I think, probably hence the look).
(I say infamous because while the CFM56 is one of the greatest engines ever, the infamous part is that they were never intended to be used in a quad engine long haul heavy plane. I think airbus intended to change them at some point but I think they just never got around to it because technology just passed the whole A340 line and they got left behind)
