:compass: Purpose or Role in Game
A modern long-haul passenger airliner. The A330neo is primarily used for medium to ultra-long-haul routes in real life, serving as a fuel-efficient wide-body for intercontinental travel. (No dedicated freighter version in service yet, as the type is mainly operated in passenger configuration.)

:chart_increasing: Why should this aircraft be added?
It is one of Airbus’s newest generation wide-bodies (entered service in late 2018) and would bring modern appeal and variety to the game. Adding the A330neo offers players a contemporary long-range jet option with improved efficiency and updated technology, reflecting what many real airlines are currently adopting. Its inclusion would diversify the fleet with a state-of-the-art aircraft that has real-world relevance (as airlines replace older A330s/767s with this model).

:airplane: Airlines that use it
As of 2025, around 21 airlines operate the A330neo worldwide. The A330-800 (the shorter variant) is in service with Kuwait Airways (launch customer and largest -800 operator), Uganda Airlines, and Air Greenland (each of these has taken delivery of -800s). The larger A330-900 is more widely used – major operators include Delta Air Lines, TAP Air Portugal, Condor, ITA Airways, Virgin Atlantic, Cebu Pacific, Air Mauritius, Air Senegal, Lion Air, Corsair, Azul, and others. (Because the A330neo only entered service in 2018, there are no former operators yet – all delivered aircraft remain in active fleets.)

:magnifying_glass_tilted_left: Special characteristics or variants
The A330neo features Rolls-Royce Trent 7000 engines (its exclusive powerplant) with a much higher bypass ratio, which – along with new A350-style composite sharklet wingtips – yields about 14% better fuel economy per seat than the previous A330 version. The two main variants share most systems but differ in size and range: the A330-800 is shorter (based on the A330-200 fuselage) and can fly roughly 8,150 nmi with ~257 passengers, whereas the A330-900 (based on the A330-300) is longer, carrying ~287 passengers up to 7,200 nmi. Both have Airbus’s latest “Airspace” cabin interior and improved avionics. Airbus has also developed additional variants: for example, a newly launched A330 MRTT+ aerial tanker (military refueling version based on the -800), and it has considered a freighter version (A330-900F) at the request of cargo carriers. An ACJ330neo corporate jet variant is offered as well for VIP customers
