Why should this airline be added?
Founded in 1988 by a group of Mexican hoteliers in partnership with the Spanish airline Oasis International, Aerocancun was a charter airline with itβs main operating hub based at CancΓΊn International Airport and operating a fleet of Airbus & McDonnell Douglas aircrafts including the A300s, A310s, DC10s and MD83s. The airline provided charter services to destinations across the North America, South America and Europe, serving major leisure markets. Aerocancun would later cancel the European routes in 1994 due to financial problems caused by an economic recession. During 1994 and 1995, the airline concentrated on the South American market. In December 1996, Aerocancun ceased operations following the financial collapse of the Oasis Group and the airlineβs subsequent bankruptcy.
