I can’t say for sure how relevant this question is at the moment, since a lot has changed recently.
But I remembered the β€œDev Chat September 2024,” where an airport in Central Asia was mentioned that focuses on cargo operations.
Out of all the airports that focus on cargo operations, I believe ALA is the one that fits this description.

This is not confirmed information. It’s just my opinion based on the answers.

This is actually a very good airport suggestion, small, in Central Asia, have nice airport layout and nice views. And we can finally see nice airline liverys in Kazakhstan if it was added like FlyArystan, Sunday Airlines and others.

Thanks, I really appreciate it!
I believe that any suggestion should be as detailed as possible so we truly understand what we’re dealing with :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:
I even decided to try creating a 2D model today β€” hopefully I’ll be able to share it soon!

I became curious. Do cargo stands get used as mixed stands for both passenger and cargo operations?
As it turns out, yes, they do. In this case, they can be considered common stands.
And while I was looking into this, I wasn’t able to find a 100% reliable source with stand classification by aircraft type.
But thanks to charts and maps, and considering the standard stand width for each aircraft type, I quickly sketched this…

Central Asia is rich in mineral resources and boasts stunning landscapes. If I ever get the chance, I would definitely like to travel there.
That said, those two parallel runways look quite close together β€” I suppose they can’t be used for simultaneous takeoffs and landings, right?

Yes. Correct. According to the standards, the minimum distance between runways for simultaneous parallel takeoff and landing must be 1,035 meters.
But here they are almost right next to each other.
Moreover, only one runway is actually used. The second one serves as a taxiway and, in some cases, for landings β€” or they alternate.
