For any update in the future just an idea:
It would be nice to have an option where we can select/unselect arrivals after we unlocked them.
Then we would be able to change the mix of arriving airlines from time to time.

That suggestion is already on next release list (so player can disable specific planes arrivals to have a little bit diversity).

Not seeing it there, I figure that is has been dropped.
Apparently it was not desired by players. Always can be placed by by sending request.
