An open letter to the forum

I completely agree, I remember seeing the forum when suggestions first opened up and since then new has just been overflowing with them

While some suggestions are good, I feel like it’s just clogging up the forum and making new seem like old

I actually like that idea, as if suggestions were its own seperate category and it can be put over here

so that it can stay out of “latest” so that people who dont want to see it can just ignore it

Yeah that was my thoughts. I am likely the main contributor to the liveries and I understand if they’re not of interest to someone, they can be annoying. This is sort of what I was suggesting to Charlie further up, maybe important notes from the devs could have their own separate spot on the forum homepage so people could easily view them without delving through a slog of livery posts but I’m not sure on the limitations this platform has.

Yes, thank you. Finally weekend :beer_mug:

What does political views have to do with woa suggestions? Plus I don’t know why you’re complaining when you haven’t suggested anything yet🤷‍♂️

Seriously? Why make a comment on destroying the fourm, plus someone actually tried to mess up the fourm 2 time 1 with @Nicepilot3954 and the outher laughing after saying that “bigger airports are superior then smaller ones”.

Stop with complaining that a section of this forum needs to be changed because some users have to read too many topics!

It’s not a complaint, just a suggestion on how to help with an issue many are having. If you have a problem with that, maybe your the woke one.

They’re just discussing suggestions they think would improve the forum. Are you a moderator/an admin to tell people what not to post about? No, you’re not, so calm down.

Were not complaining; we’re trying to work together as a community to come up with a solution. Even those who we posting lots of suggestions are working work us, so maybe instead of throwing insults and thinking you have the final say, why dont you try the same?

Absolutely no need for that. Nobody is stopping anyone from doing anything, if you aren’t willing to participate in a civil discussion then I’d suggest moving on to another topic that you want to contribute in.

Nobody is stopping anyone from doing anything? Why are you reporting my posts because I oppose the topic starter’s arguments? This is really petty; this is dictatorship.

Arguing repeatedly against the majority on the forum is a good way to blemish your standing and put others off. But arguing with moderators/leaders is a good way towards a mandatory time-out from the site. Please relax and just agree to disagree.
We’ve heard your opinion and know your stance now. No need to further fight it. We’re just trying to find solutions.

Give it up with your attitude and saying its a dictatorship (as its clearly not) you know saying it will result in you disciplined on the fourm.

Which majority? Because you belong to the “wiki editors” group? Apparently, you can’t have a normal discussion with someone who disagrees, and then you report posts like a child. Why are you looking for solutions when the current system works fine? Are you so desperate to be the best in class, or do you want a position on the World of Airports team? A job application?

Calls someone a child after complaining about being reported, maybe don’t insult people and then you won’t get reported?

No one’s has liked any of your posts on this thread, no one agrees with you, there’s the majority.

To try to bring this back on topic - to filter feature requests out of the latest posts, this notification setting can be used to mute the category:

It’s probably the best way to address this issue in my opinion - this way, people who like seeing the requests will continue to see them all while others will only get the news relevant to them.

The system ‘works fine’ is debatable, but that’s not the point of this thread I believe.

The way I see it @Thatflyerguy just wanted to urge everyone to remain realistic. The developers have limited time, so think twice about the added value of a request before posting it. Whether that is a livery, an airport or a model.

If someone posts 10 requests within 10 minutes for liveries of planes that are not flying to/from any of the playable airports in real life, are one-off liveries from a distant past from some defunct airline or it’s a slightly tweaked livery of a company that’s already well represented…then what’s the point.

Same for requests of remote airports that in real life have like 5 flights on a regular day. The odds that an airport like Glasgow Prestwick (sorry for whoever requested that, nothing personal) is going to be added anytime soon? I guess it approaches zero.

LeChonk, I’m not insulting anyone.

I don’t care if I don’t get likes; I don’t want to be popular. But you’re doing it for the likes, right? I’m here as a World of Airports fan, and I appreciate it when people contribute. Airports and airlines want to contribute, but apparently the wiki editors don’t want that. Well, yeah.
