Airport Type & Size
ANC is a 4F-level airport and a hub for Alaska Airlines and a base for cargo airlines. It has a pair of close parallel runways and a third runway (a total of three runways, the parallel runways are used for landing, and the third runway is used for take-off). The cargo terminal is equipped with a large number of F and E stands, providing sufficient support services for 748f, 744f and 77lf.
Why should this airport be added to World of Airports?
ANC is an important cargo airport on the trans-Pacific route, with a large number of cargo planes stopping here every day. Since the 77lf has a reduced range when overloaded, especially on the route from East Asia to the eastern United States, it has to use ANC as a technical stop under headwind conditions to load and unload cargo and refuel in order to continue flying the next trip. Currently, there is only one cargo airport in WOA: LEJ. And the range of the 77lf is limited. ANC can be used as a cargo HUB to radiate airports in East Asia and North America (BKK, NGO, SAN, IAD) to facilitate players to fly between them.
