🍎 Apple ID vs Game Center – What’s the Difference?

Many iOS players are unsure how Apple login works in World of Airports.

Let’s explain it in a simple way :backhand_index_pointing_down:

:bust_in_silhouette: What is an Apple ID?

Your Apple ID is your main Apple account.

You use it for:

  • App Store downloads :mobile_phone_with_arrow:
  • iCloud :cloud:
  • Apple Music :musical_note:
  • Device login (iPhone / iPad)

Think of it as your main Apple identity.

:video_game: What is Game Center?

Game Center is the gaming part of your Apple ID.

It handles:

  • Your nickname
  • Your Player identity
  • Your achievements
  • Game login and cloud save

It is not a separate account .

It is a gaming profile connected to your Apple ID.

:compass: How This Works in World of Airports

When you open World of Airports on iPhone or iPad:

:one: The game connects to Game Center

:two: Game Center uses your Apple ID

:three: Your progress loads

It works like this:

Apple ID
   ↓
Game Center Profile
   ↓
World of Airports Progress

:red_question_mark: Can I Have Multiple Game Center Accounts?

:cross_mark: Not under one Apple ID.

Each Apple ID can have only one Game Center profile.

But…

You can sign out and log in with a different Apple ID on your device.

When you do that, you switch Game Center profiles too.

That’s why sometimes the game loads a different Player name.

:warning: Why This Is Important

If the wrong Apple ID is signed into Game Center:

  • The game may start in anonymous mode
  • You may see a name like Player123456
  • Your progress may look “missing”

Don’t worry — it usually means the wrong Apple ID is active.

:mobile_phone: Switching Between iPhone and iPad

If both devices use the same Apple ID,

your progress will sync automatically.

No extra steps needed.

:prohibited: Important: Apple vs Android

Apple Game Center and Google Play Games are completely separate systems.

You cannot:

  • Use an Apple ID to log in on Android
  • Sync progress automatically between iOS and Android

A one-time transfer tool is being developed, but it will not allow playing on both platforms at the same time.
