[ATC] - Further Adjustment for Line Up & Take-off command

:bullseye: What is your suggestion?
Recently added combination of Line Up & Take-off command for unoccupied runway is significantly optimized air traffic flow. Therefore, despite combining these 2 commands the aircraft still makes a full stop on the runway and don’t proceed for take-off before clearance is issued. The clearance itself is not provided before aircraft reaches line up position, thus on each departure the player can waste 5-6 seconds of gameplay time, depending on complexity of aircraft callsign.

My suggestion is to change the algorithm in one of 3 possible ways:

  • If runway is unoccupied allow possibility for direct issuing of take-off clearance without using line up command (as real life operations allow)
  • Allow clearing for take-off while aircraft is in process of line-up or backtrack
  • Allow issuing take-off/line up clearance before aircraft reaches runway holding point (also as in real life operations)

This will require some substitutions in aircraft logic - replacing current line-up & take-off command pair with more straigtforward way for aircraft departure in case of unoccupied runway
If required - the current Line up & Take-off button could be splitted into 2 separate commands, one may be active while other aircraft is still on the runway and second button can be active while runway is unoccupied

This will further improve air traffic flow with saving up to 10 seconds per each aircraft departure, thus increasing the player capacity for more planes handling per gaming session.
