What is your suggestion?
Add a short delay after pushback before taxiing begins, to allow time for engine start-up.
How would it work in the game?
After pushback is completed, the aircraft would pause for a few extra seconds before beginning to taxi. This simulates the real-world procedure where pilots start engines and perform checks after pushback. The delay could be randomized slightly to add variety and realism.
Why is this a good idea?
This small change would greatly enhance realism. In reality, aircraft do not begin taxiing immediately after pushback — there’s a brief pause for engine start-up and systems checks. Adding this to the game makes operations feel more authentic without affecting pacing too much.
Here is a problem, im hating so much with A+B class Prop planes is that they dont turn around automatically like the lines show. like seriously they dont need tugs!!!
To add on to the previous thing i mentioned, Twin otters and other turbo aircraft have reverse theust to push themselves back so that should be another thing.
Love how instead of post-pushback delay, pre-pushback delay was added. Pre delay doesn’t even make sense, might as well not be there. Post delay would be there to let the engines turn on, pre delay doesn’t do anything, just wastes time.
Thanks! It would be great to have a delay after pushback (for engine start), or a dedicated button to begin taxiing after pushback. That’s exactly what I meant.
Yes! Good for realism. Also if they could update the pushback feature so that the nose of the aircraft doesn’t end up after the gate (ticks me off!) it would be wonderful.
