:bullseye: What is your suggestion?
I would like to suggest an improvement to the Aircraft Pushback Animation. Currently, the pushback process feels like a simple pivot where the aircraft rotates on a fixed point, causing the wheels to look like they are sliding. I propose a more realistic ‘Dynamic Pushback’ where the tug follows a natural turning radius and performs a final straight-back maneuver to align the aircraft perfectly with the taxiway centerline.

:hammer_and_wrench: How would it work in the game?
• Gradual Turn: Instead of an immediate sharp turn at the end of the gate, the pushback tug should start a gradual turn earlier, simulating a real turning radius.

• Main Gear Movement: The main landing gear should not stay fixed; they should move along a curved path as the nose is being pushed.

• Final Alignment (The Straight Push): After the turn is completed, the tug should push the aircraft backward in a straight line for a short distance to ensure the nose gear and fuselage are perfectly aligned with the taxiway line before disconnecting.

:balance_scale: Why is this a good idea?
• Visual Realism: It fixes the ‘sliding wheel’ effect which breaks immersion for players who enjoy the simulation aspect of the game.

• Professional Polish: Most modern flight simulators and high-end management games use this ‘Straight-back’ alignment. Adding this would elevate World of Airports to a higher standard of realism.

• Satisfying Gameplay: Watching a smooth, realistic pushback and alignment is highly satisfying for players who focus on ground operations and realism.

I agree with you, the pushbacks currently look very strange, much too fast, and totally unrealistic. I’m convinced that the developers will completely overhaul the pushbacks as well. The mechanics, or rather the behavior and appearance of the ground vehicles, have already been announced as being completely reworked. Therefore, I think we can look forward to more realistic pushbacks in the future.
