The MSFS 2020 is already 220GB, I’ve deleted it and now have 270GB reserved on an extended harddrive just for MSFS 2024. I hope it’s enough or Forza Horizon 5 and Jedi Survivor may have to be sacrificed

Seems like most Devs don’t know optimisation now, I remember the days where an entire COD or Halo was crammed into a 10 > file, now it’s rare to find a AAA game under 100

Yeah same, thought paying the extra £7 for deluxe was better than £45 on release for early access and installing stuff. I thought installing that was bad (still need install some older stuff for it), the MSFS folks are going be sitting there for weeks…

this is the aviation taking point and MSFS is one of the most popular flights Sims so I thought it would fit

Not sure how far back, but they’d added the inibuilds A20N V2, and it had nearly all the functionally and realism of the PMDG 3rd party planes, but it’s in the core sim and works amazing on Xbox. It’s what I’ve been flying most of lately. Infact just this morning a did a short KLM flight from BRU to AMS… usually an E170/190 but it’s what I got.

My current installment of MSFS 2020 takes about 100GB of space plus 20GB reserve, of which about 15GB is add-ons. It was more than 50GB reserve space, but I tricked it down to the minimum.
I heard though with Cloud and other tricks, MSFS 2024 should be optimized down to 50GB, at least for us Xbox users. I’d imagine it carries over to PC.

Try train sim classic
I have a few hundred dlc (it’s an addiction) and I reaching almost 500 gb is size I beleive, it’s painful
Edit: 250 gb size, I doubled it by accident, and also I only have 120 dlc apparently, thought I has more
