What about it?

Aeromexico was end of last year?

Huh, I didn’t hear about that haha

On August 28, 2024, AeromĂ©xico unveiled a new livery in celebration of the airline’s 90th anniversary, Now you have.

Given recent new liveries out there, I would say that AeroMexico have done really well here.

They have updated their look, changed a few things but not a drastic change.

Great changes on the fuselage. Cleaner, more bold titles, the line along the fuselage looks good.

The tail
great until half way. It looks uneven. The solid blue at the bottom just doesn’t work. It looks lost. I think had they filled the top of the tail with solid blue too that might have helped.

I want to like this new livery, I love the full title “Korean” with the updated font. It’s been way overdue. The new contemporary tail is also great, soft to the eye and looks good.

The down side, and it is on the edge of ruining the new livery for me is the blue. I’m sure it’s not the first time mentioned but it looks too similar to KLM.

It honestly kinda sucks to me. Having it all be the same flat shade of blue is hideous. I agree about the block. The old liv is far better to me

To be fair that’s a regraded image with poor lighting. It looks much better in daylight

Looks more like NEOs to me than KLM.

Yes. I really used to like the old Korean Air livery. I can’t say that I dislike the new one. It’s fresher and more minimalist. The new logo also turned out to be quite interesting.

But it does resemble KLM, even though there are still many differences. However, among a crowd of KLM’s blue aircraft, I feel like it might get lost. And what’s interesting is how it will actually look in real life on the A380, 777, etc.

45 years ago, 14th of March, 1980 the Il-62 of LOT Polish Airlines from New York to WAW crashed next to RWY 15, killing 87 people. In pasengers there was famous Polish Singer - Anna Jantar. She died. It crashed, because 1 engine explode, 2nd and 3rd engine has been demaged. 4th wasn’t working. It was LO 007.

Rest in peace Anna Jantar and other pasengers.

I’m going to be honest about the Korean Air new livery.
The old livery in my opinion definitely needs an update as they had this livery since the early 1980s but In my opinion they were cooking a cake but unfortunately the final product came kinda burned. I won’t say the new livery is terrible tho but it’s worse compared to the old one. (At least it’s not in the terrible eurowhite livery) I will say the first aircraft choice is extremely questionable as that 787 was delivered in 2024 only a few months old before they got rid of the old livery, I think that is a disgusting waste, I think that’s unacceptable and that livery sould last by 10 years before repaint, the smart move would be to apply the new livery on a brand new aircraft from the factory.
I do believe they introduced the livery in preparation for the Korean Air/Asiana merger which I thought was last year but a merger could still happen this year. (Please correct me if I’m wrong)
