It’s because of LHR is closed.
oh that makes sense now
Absolute carnage. This just explains England. Heathrows closed till tomorrow. Diverted loads of aircraft, there was a fire in a nearby power station. And all of Heathrows power is out (except T5 but you need the fire stations and tower to operate). But what I don’t get is why do they not have generators or a backup source. Turns out they do have generators but their at the site of the fire! Absolute idiots.
Was it the power to the tower that was cut off too?
yes their was a fire
Um, the A350F hasn’t been released yet.
Meant the Titan A321F and this normal passenger A350-1000.
Oh ok
Really want American to start from Gatwick, probably won’t happen, oh well. At least we’ll get the Wizz XLR.
Is there even a visual difference between the XLR and neo? Only thing I could find on Airbus website is permanent rear tank, and increased MTOW… that and apparently the inner flaps on the neo/LR are double slotted where the XLR is single… so couldn’t they just label some of the neos as XLRs in-game?
No difference other than those afaik but yeah it wouldn’t take long to do
Structurally from the outside, not much at all.
It’s all internal with the tanks etc to give the extra distance
Most likely be into Heathrow if they did use the XLR.
No it doesn’t, but I just hope when it’s in game they give it the 4,700nmi range. Then can do Sydney-Bangkok.
I hope that the XLR finally gives US carriers a chance to start flying to places which aren’t London or Edinburgh again, places like MAN, BFS, GLA, NCL and the likes of, all use to have regular flights from US carriers and now have none.
Most likely will, though not sure what configuration AA are planning on theirs.
From what I’ve seen around it’s very similar to Iberias XLR config, with those weird business class seats facing into the aisle away from the windows.
