I’m tired of snow now! Second snow storm in a month! (Well kinda a snowstorm) it’s crazy!

Well, prepare to see a lot of news and articles about airports and flights completely shutting down in all of the Southeast US (among the other impacts) from our expected ice and snow storm. Expecting up to an inch (~3cm)+ of ice and up to 20”+ of sleet and snow North of that. It’s gonna be crazy.

If it makes you feel any better, we’ve got rain and 9C in ole Blighty. Though Liverpool will somehow manage to be colder and wetter than the rest of the country as per usual .

In Chicago we have -30 windchill where I am from and we got school canceled tomarrow. Dosent really affect the airport much ORD just too important to shut down.

Nothing to do with importance, ORD has shut down entirely in the not-too-distant past. More a matter of it being perfectly fine to operate in -30 if not actively snowing, and even if it is they can still operate fine, albeit with some delays, by plowing. I’ll be in the Midwest a few times in the next month or two though, and gotta say I’m not looking forward to the weather haha

My dads been stuck in Chicago for the past two days his first flight was cancelled and his second flight too, but his third flight actually showed up but they had to divert back to Chicago because they where leaking fuel, forths times the charm…?

i have lost hope with air canada, forth flight cancelled and he was rebooked onto another flight early in the morning tommorow, honestly its either the snow or just air canada.

4 flights is rough, but there’s not a ton the airlines can do, there have been so many cancellations they are entirely deluged. I don’t know what ticket class you have, but they do tend to prioritize the expensive tickets so if you have cheap tickets that is much more likely to be repeat cancelled unfortunately.
