Alitalia had operated 19 Boeing 747-200s, out of which 6 were B747-200Fs operated for Alitalia Cargo, 3 were B747-200Ms, and 10 were B747-200s. This aircraft, registered I-DEMP, entered service in December 1981 and operated international routes to Asia, North America & Australia. In April 2000, the aircraft, along with 167 aircraft, began operating for Alitalia TEAM and would receive a minor livery change and would remain in service up until March 2002, when it was retired from Alitalia TEAM services.
