Why should this livery be added?
A beautiful livery, painted onto this 757-200 between March 2005 and May 2007 as part of a competition organised by the BBC children’s show Blue Peter, which was won by 8 year old Hollie Goodwin (Edit: Thought I’d add a bit in here about Blue Peter for the non-UK players. Blue Peter is a long running children’s show broadcast by the BBC since 1958. It was known for having pets on the show, showcasing art sent in by children and was involved in many famous events such as the live climbing of Nelson’s Column by John Noakes, all filmed live up until March 2025 when it switched to a pre-recorded format sadly. This livery was a celebration of the show as well as one of the many competitions the programme ran for children to produce artwork).The aircraft in question went on to serve with FedEx where it still operates to this day. It would be a fantastic event livery for LHR on the upcoming, and fantastic looking, 757-200 model. Also, sorry to ukplanespotter757 as I had this livery and a few others ready to go bar the description.
