Beginner updated guide. What can I do to make the best out of my time spent in game?

Conclude as many contracts as possible each week. This means actively participating yourself and hoping that your fellow players are also active. It is very challenging at the beginning, especially with the small airports, but it becomes significantly easier later on. I now have 5,000,000 SP and do not need to worry about the weekly GP.

sorry Jose, also totally disagree, havent spent a penny on progress, this is purely players choice on progress speed. i’ve played for 2 years, plays most every day for a considerable amount of time (scary really i was 150th out of 1.4 million players in planes handled at one point). you dont need to spent any money.

If you peel off all the advise, you have a very basic choice:

Pay or Play.

  1. The basics:

You get SP every time you finishing handling a contract. With AI contracts, that happens when you reach 1/1, 2/2, 3/3… 10/10. The greater the number, up to 10, the greater the amount of SP (and Wollars). While it may sound obvious, what I mean is that finishing a 10/10 contract takes 10 handlings, but it gives you MUCH more SP/wollars then handling 1/1 contracts 10 times (cancelling and getting them again). So, you will want to get those AI contracts to lvl 10 and keep repeating them indefinetly. It’s much more effective than getting a lot of new contracts and raising them from the beginning (1/1, 2/2…).
There’s a shorcut, tho: player-to-player contracts already start at lvl 10 (0/10)! At the very beginning, you won’t have many (good) fleet planes yourself, that’s why people suggested you should get into an alliance or request connections here at the forums/discord. Willing people will send you their fleet planes, and they will begin at 0/10. After 10 handlings, you’ll get a lot of SP all at once!
Etiquette tip: it’s alright not to renew a player contract after you finish 10/10, but it’s not cool to cancel it mid contract (example: 9/10). Neither you nor the player helping you will get SP, so try your best to finish them all 10/10.

  1. More SP!

Two things determine how much SP you’ll get per contract conclusion: how far the destination of the route is, and the plane model.

  • Longer routes = more SP!

Lets take INN for example: Bolzano, Italy (BZO) is the closest airport. Austrian’s DH8D, a B size airplane, will net you 87 SP at lvl 10. Now look at Antalya, Turkey (AYT). The same Austrian’s DH8D will net you 220 SP at lvl 10! Mind you that the flight to Antalya will take longer than to Bolzano, so you’ll need more contracts to keep your airport busy.

  • Bigger planes = more SP!

Look at Antalya again: Austrian’s A321, a C plane aircraft, will net you 303 SP at lvl 10! Again, keep in mind bigger planes take longer to handle, and at INN, C and D planes also backtrack to take off, slowing down the airport pace.

  • Bigger planes + longest routes = maximum SP!

Lets take a look at North America now. Baltimore, US, have an A21NX from Spirit. At lvl 10, you’ll get 689 SP! It does take 4h18min for it to be available again after take off, but at an airport like IAD or LHR filled with big, long distance planes/routes, you’ll eventually end up having more SP then you can ever spend.

  • Cargo > Pax

You should also know that Cargo nets more SP then passenger (Pax).

  • Conclusion:

IAD, NGO, MCT, LEJ, LHR, BKK and SCL are great airports for farming SP, but it can be done (at a slower pace) at any airport. As for the passenger airplanes, the best ones you should be looking for (not in any order):
B size: AT76, B463, and DH8D
C size: B38M, A21NX and A321
D+ size: any, the bigger the better

That said, what you want for maximizing SP gain is getting the biggest airplanes at the farthest route possible, at the best airport possible.
My advice? Keep evolving your airports, focus on leveling up until you get BRI>PRG>IAD for free, and keep converting those SP you get into GP (only the 10GP option until at least mid PRG, that’s when you start getting enough SP for both the weekly 10GP and the daily 1GP. Till then, the 10GP is the better option).

About real money: I did end up buying stuff to recognize the devs work, as I believe they are doing an amazing job. That said, it’s entirely possible to play the game for free and have everything the game has to offer, it will just take a while. Have fun during your journey!

You absolutely do not need to use real money, it’s a grind if you don’t but it’s not imperative!
