:chart_increasing: Airport Type & Size
— A medium airport with both passenger and cargo operations. Serves up to class E aircraft.
— Runways: one (17/35; 2,990m) with operations in both directions.

:vertical_traffic_light: Why should this airport be added to World of Airports?
— A Norwegian airport allows expansion into Scandinavia, a region currently unexplored in the game. Numerous new airports and airlines would be added, growing the game’s global footprint.
— As a hub for Widerøe, BGO connects many small STOLports, served by the Dash 8 family of aircraft, with larger airports. As a result of this, operations at BGO include both large and small airplanes.
— Placed at the northern edge of Europe, BGO facilities flights to North America, as well as southern European destinations in Spain and Greece. BGO’s location does not encroach upon central European airports, preventing overcrowding of playable airports.
— BGO is also a major helicopter hub, providing multiple offshore oil platforms with supplies and crews. With a dedicated helicopter terminal and 7 helicopter pads, BGO allows the addition of the Sikorsky S-92 helicopter and subsequent contracts, adding a new dimension to gameplay. Helicopters are an important facet of aviation, and BGO creates a perfect opportunity to incorporate them into the game.
