This airline should be considered in the game, as Birgenair was a Turkish charter airline with routes from major German cities, such as Frankfurt and Düsseldorf, to Istanbul and other Turkish destinations and also long-haul leisure destinations in the Caribbean, with a fleet consisting of mainly Boeing aircrafts. It had ceased operations in 1996 after negative publicity about the airline following Birgenair Flight 301 caused a sharp decline in reservations, and a year later, the company filed for bankruptcy.
