Boeing had manufactured this aircraft, registered as N737X, in June 2000, with the aircraft serving as a test bed for Boeing. The aircraft would later retire from testbed duties and enter commercial services with Alaska Airlines in April 2003 and would retire from service in April 2025. The aircraft was purchased for spare parts by CFM Materials LP in June 2025.
