Why should this airline be added?
The airline was the last BA subsidiary to be operated outside of London, based out of Manchester, founded in 1993 and being sold to FlyBe in 2007, but it provided a much needed short haul link from Manchester to Europe. 17 RJ100s, 6 DH8C’s and 28 E145s were operated from MAN and the other hub airports of Belfast ‘‘George Best’’ City Airport (BHD / EGAC), Birmingham International (BHX / EGBB), Bristol International (BRS / EGGD), Cardiff (CWL / EGFF), Edinburgh Turnhouse (EDI / EGPH), Glasgow International (GLA / EGPF), London City (LCY / EGLC), Manchester (MAN / EGCC), Southampton (SOU / EGHI) & Newcastle Woolsington (NCL / EGNT). Interesting tidbit, it was a low-cost carrier from 2006 onwards which is unusual for BA. It would provide a BA link for all the above airports to the continent so players can have more choice in what they wish to operate on routes.
