CGK - Jakarta Soekarno–Hatta International Airport 🇮🇩

:round_pushpin: Airport Name and ICAO/IATA Code
Soekarno–Hatta International Airport (ICAO: WIII / IATA: CGK)

:globe_showing_europe_africa: Location (City, Country)
Jakarta, Java (Main island of Indonesia)

:chart_increasing: Airport Type & Size
CGK is Indonesia’s primary international gateway and one of the busiest airports in Southeast Asia, handling both passenger and cargo traffic. This airport accommodates roughly 38 million passengers a year. This airport can recieve an aircraft size from the ICAO Class A - Cessna 206 to the ICAO Class F - Airbus A388.

It has three runways

  • Runway 07L/25R: 3,600 m / 11,811 Feet
  • Runway 07R/25L: 3,660 m / 12,008 Feet
  • Runway 06/24: 3,000 m / 9,843 Feet

The airport features: 233 PAX & 16 Cargo Stands

:vertical_traffic_light: Why should this airport be added to World of Airports?
CGK is a major regional connector between Australia and Asia—perfectly placed between Sydney and Bangkok.
It would make an excellent hub for narrow and wide boy aircraft, supporting routes to MCT, NGO, SIN, and bridging the gap for Sydney.
Its scale allows for gameplay variety, from narrow-body regional jets to widebody long-hauls, and includes shared stands, which could add new gameplay depth.

Disclaimer: this is unofficial and made for fun.

my idea is the bottom runway is for domesic arrivals and the top two are for international!

wow … i worked there in 1999-2015 as ground support equipment (gse) operator from marshaller into pushback operator.
Many memories at CGK, and i will be proud, as Indonesian, if CGK would be the next airport this year :+1:
Thank you Dev :folded_hands:

Actually both of them are accommodate domestic & international flights.

i know but i was meaning for the devs if they were to make the runways for certain stands it would be logical to have the domestic terminal be the lower runway since its next door and same with the international.

The way it would work is likely how standard airport operations work on a regular basis. If that’s how it’s done in real life chances are that’s how it would be developed for the game. Assuming the game mechanics don’t cause unintentional bottle necks as a result because of the volume of aircraft going through a particular area

Kinda like SCL and BKK

You might want to unmark this as solved. Otherwise the topic will close in a few days

Considering this is the second thread I’ve seen this on. Can people please not mark suggestion posts as solutions. Marking it as a solution automatically locks the thread as people have started to realise. It seems the devs are marking suggestions themselves if they get added, and having a suggestion marked with a tick could also make people think that the airport is being added.

Sorry about that, i didnt know that giving the solution locks in in a few days, also why is this feature even here is its gonna cause confusion!

Honestly not sure, it just appeared one day after a forum update and that was that.

It should be modified that solutions will not appear when ordinary users reply, only when administrators and official engineers reply.

The platform rule for this (not ours) is Staff and topic starters can close threads as solved, there’s no option to amend it otherwise , it’s either that or nothing

If they’re looking for an Indonesian airport… this is my pick. With 3 runways, intriguing architecture and lots of stands!

I tried to make CGK map in WoA style :>

it looks good

I really hope one day CGK or DPS will come. But of course creating an airport takes a really long time, so we will have to be patient.

When you start update it? I’m really excited.

There are no plans to add Jakarta to WoA at the moment.
