:pushpin: Why should this airline be added?
Founded in 1988, with one of the owners being a part of Sterling European Airlines, Air Columbus was a Portuguese charter airline that operated charter flights from Funchal and Faro to Northern European destinations, with the airline starting services with 1 Boeing 727, and its inaugural flight took place in October 1989 with a service from Faro to London’s Gatwick airport.

Air Columbus would operate flights from it’s main operating hubs at Faro, Funchal, Lisbon & Porto to destinations in France, Germany, UK, Austria, Switzerland, Italy and Spain including the Canaries provided a level of inflight service not seen before (or since) on Portuguese charter carriers.

The airline would unfortunately report a downturn in the calibre of sales staff and increasing levels of management inefficiency. This, combined with the terminal problems of some of its clients and of one of its shareholders (Sterling Airways) led eventually to its closure in late 1994.

That 757-200 would be great to see, what a cool colour scheme, I’d never heard of this airline and it’d be a nice addition.
