Conversations relating to the CRJ family of aircraft

I have to say, I hate the way the CRJ200 looks :sob:

You don’t like the model or you don’t like how it looks with a jetbridge?

The actual model
Especially the tail area

The model or the aircraft irl?

The new model
It doesn’t seem to have been modelled correctly, especially the tail

No its correct crj2 and crj1 apu is on the right side near under of the engine but rest has long tail

This is the best shot I could get from the livestream but look at the tail and the overal proportion

From what I can make out, the tail seems to have a less steep profile than it is and the aircraft seems to have a nose down attitude on the ground vice a very slight nose up attitude?

And the back end is a little too pointy
It is a bit disappointing tbh
I already had issues with the Q100/200/300 engines but I looked past it but this one is a bit of a big miss
I’ll still get it if needed but it’s gonna be a sight for sore eyes

This is the photo of it in the gamecentre achievements, and what people were discussing on here last week after they noticed they got updated. Most noticeable thing I can see is the winglets look like they are from a CRJ-700 or CRJ-900.

Damn yeah that doesn’t look right at all

If that image is anything to go by, it looks as if it might be a shortened CRJ-700.

Totally yeah

looks aright to me

The winglets look a bit too modern for a CRJ-200 and the angle forward which is something you see on the more recent CRJs, not sure with the tail though, no clear view of that. There was another photo of some CRJ liveries from when it was first shown somewhere on here, but I forgot where they were posted.

oh ok
i am not a wing expert
sorry

It definitely has a notable nose-down attitude when fully seated on the ground. I think that photo may have caught it just after touchdown and with a little bit of flare still leftover/compression in the rear bogies. It’s probably less exaggerated in the -200, but when I see the -700s and 900s around IRL, they definitely lean toward the nose. I do agree with the vertical stabilizer though… looks like it gets narrower at the top where in real life it’s pretty much parallel, save for the APU inlet at the bottom.

Must admit CRJ-200s are something I don’t think (not to memory anyways) I’ve come across for a while, if at all. Just thought that, based off almost every photo I’ve seen of one, it was always at a more even angle (if not slightly leaning back) than the newer CRJs which do have that nose down appearance.
