Agreed. Itâs wrong to abstain Boeing of any wrong-doing and pretend that only a few planes out of thousands means theyâre as safe as anyone else. As mentioned, theyâve practiced greed and it caused many needless lives lost. But itâs also wrong to overblow this wrong-doing to all employees and products. Itâs only the 737 MAXs and some 787s that have had major issues. Iâll fly on a regular 737 or any other platform any day. Same goes with Airbus. Unless itâs proven unreliable, like the MAX series, thereâs no reason it shouldnât be trusted just as much as any other. That being said, jokes are understandable and expected. It helps people deal with information and makes people happy. If you donât like it then ignore it for the benefit of the masses.
This
Ok.
Boeing as bad quality of a few of thousands of aircraft isnât bad.
Every manufacturer has flaws. Face it. There are no perfect planes. Like how the jet blue 320 was seen to have debris fall of during the takeoff role.
And the instance where the united 777s wheel fell off. This stuff happens. Not everything goes the way we want.
(Not trying to be rude or start an argument)
Manufacturer? The 777 incident was due to maintenance problems relating to United, and most likely the JetBlue flight was also caused by maintenance issues. There are definitely small issues with every plane, but a lot of accidents arenât the manufacturers fault.
Those are not manufacturer problems. Boeing is the only major aircraft manufacturer that insists on putting profit and stock value over all else including safety and quality
Ik i was it was just the first Boeing incident that came to my head. Mb
And yea im not trying to say any manufacturer is bad i was trying to get the message that not everything is perfect and everything has its pros and cons
Boeing has FAR more cons then pros rn
Yea but Boeing are still one of the best manufacturers out there.
And what @horsepowergeek said is spot on
How do you figure for either?
What??
How do you figure Boeing as being the best or that a 3 in 1000 hull losses caused by the manufacturer rate is acceptable?
No im not saying any of that yes I prefer Boeing but i like airbus.
Listen i dont want to start anything else but i mean 3 out of 1000 with like 300+ deaths isnt good obviously but its not like they put them together with lego. And yea its not the best but you have to admit we wouldnât be anywhere without Boeing.
Well we would. And thatâs an appalling hull loss rate. And yes, you said exactly that, in those words
Iâve been keeping watch on this thread. How on earth have we gone from a light hearted bug report to a thread mostly slandering Boeing⌠![]()
Even bigger question: how on earth has this argument lasted a weekđ
It must really bug peopleâŚ
Yeah, hopefully this is the end. I will post here if I experience the bug myself, but other than that, this should be the end of just Boeing slander.
I think this will be the end of this thread now. Call it a day here. ![]()
