Since the last update all my planes from SXM backtrack to the beginning of the runway instead of lining up at the holding point like they did before the update.
SXM is already an airport where the runway is the bottleneck of all my operations, as all airplanes bigger then S need to backtrack after landing; which goes slow as hell
Look on Flightradar24 and the ATRs do go all way back to take off like the larger aircraft do, so this is more realistic. If aircraft are building up to take off then that’s your doing for pushing them all back and not holding a few or better management.
I agree with all of you; but what this game REALLY should do:
let ME decide their holding point and clearances. I am the air traffic controller, no? I always had hoped for this game to become more than just those 6 stages per plane
If I fuck up and cause a runway excursion because I was stupid enough to let a heavy do a mid runway takeoff that should be a gameover for me. But that would be MY responsibility
If that’s not going to be there for a while then exiting M / L planes at E would be nice-
I’d also love it if S planes could take taxiway alfa instead of backtracking; would save me some precious runway time
I agree with you except for L planes at E, their wingspan is too large for that taxiway and unrealistic as well.
But I do have to remind myself that this is WOA and not UATC. UATC has more options of having to wait for gates and planes coming in randomly instead of assigning them gates and then clearing them to land. And being careful with taxiing as the planes won’t stop for each other. I do hope the new UI will introduce some of these things.
I also think that having a stand be available as soon as handling is done will greatly keep plane movements going quicker. That gives the inbound aircraft time to land and taxi while the other one is prepping for pushback.
Careful with the swearing I think some kids are on the forum.
But I completely agree with you. I dont think the game is quite ready for that yet but thats a great concept and i hope it gets added.
