Dev Chat September 2024

I too didn’t mind either Vancouver or Yellowknife tbh.

The thing about Yellowknife though is that it is even smaller than inn, so progressing may be even worse than sxm…

The word was small airport, not sure YVR counts as small in this context. So given the data points very much more likely to be Yellowknife… it’s very cool they are even thinking about this

Ohh if we’re talking small the Yellowknife is a good choice but I’m just saying yvr would be a good compliment to it because I don’t know how far s and m planes for connections (I’m pretty sure it’s an s and m only airport) can reach other than the 757 and a321. Obviously I don’t think it would be in the near future on the devs list but I think it would be a great choice for a second Canadian airport(with seaplanes too😉)

I think you are assuming way too much here. Given its remote location and devs comments about how they intend to move forward generally. I suspect this could be the first of some single airport scenarios rather than connected ones

Oh maybe is that why they were referring to it as “something special”?

No, just the fact that it is so small and uses so many unique aircraft

Love this reply

I’d honestly rather have ANC, it still has some unique small aircraft, though the cargo factor makes it more interesting. Not against Yellowknife, I think it’s also a good pick.

Yellowknife bigger then INN and SXM, even the King has landed there in a RCAF A310 and RCAF does land there A310 from time to time. So they could do one L remote stand. I also hope it means the B737-300 would be coming to the game and L-188 Electra, especially as Buffalo fly both.

It’s good to have a smaller airport again not really had one since INN.

Are you sure it’s larger than sxm because sxm can handle X planes

I’m on about overall size, it can at least take an L.

I have seen a B737-200 and 737-300 land, it would make sense to incorporate those aircraft models into the game. Now Yellowknife is added, those models already land in the .

Still no news about the remaining 737 series. I wonder why.

Although a long time ago they said that the series was going to be remodeled after the V1 planes like the b777, the b757, the crj9, etc. were all remodeled.

Which is unrealistic

They can only do so much, it’s a pretty small team to do everything. Right now it’s 777-Fokker and 767, everything else and new stuff will come after that as they can do it. The only exception will likely be for the surprise airport that may require additional aircraft types to make it work

i dont believe its much of a surprise at this point. imo kuba said way too much in dev chat.

To be fair he is pressed for answers on this stuff daily, he might’ve said it to get everyone to shut up, which look how that’s worked, I’ve never seen this forum, or anything related to woa, more active in years

That’s part of the problem, due to the licensing there are costs associated with each upload (or is it download lol). But the average spend from Indian users doesn’t offset that cost. To go with Delhi, there would be a very really risk that the game could be driven to financial ruin
