it is a language model. it is not intelligent, and this has major downsides. among those are hallucinations, because it is not actually thinking, just stringing together the most likely words. also, because it gets information from the whole internet, it is often incorrect because sites that it feeds off of are incorrect. AI is wrong a good chunk of the time, and putting aside all other ethical issues with it, it is often wrong. just spend an additional twenty seconds researching using your own brain and get it right.
