What is your suggestion?
Have demand (when creating new routes with your own fleet planes) be adaptive to your own connections.
How would it work in the game?
At the start, the demand could begin with the values it has right now, but with every connection, the demand would be increased marginally (affected by transfer demand, feasibility etc.).
Why is this a good idea?
It would add the possibility to fly to more destinations with your own aircraft. It would also be great for realism, since some airlines rely entirely on the transfer demand for their routes to perform well. Larger aircraft could therefore be deployed to more destinations.
