Cargo apron has 5 stands, 4 of which are d-class with 1 e-class. The AN-225 parks where it pleases.
Why should this airport be added to World of Airports?
The airport is Yerevan and Armeniaβs main airport with it operating as the only real international airport for the country. It would provide an interesting location situated between Europe and Asia with a mix of old Soviet and newer modern infrastructure providing a fun and challenging experience for players. Plus, currently receiving a new taxiway for easier ground handling.
Major Airlines & Routes
Wizz Air, FlyOne, Air France, FlyDubai, Transavia, Lufthansa, Eurowings, Qatar Airways, Etihad, Air Arabia. Armenia Airways operates as well but with the 733 which is not yet in game. Previous airlines include Armavia, Armenian Airlines, Air Armenia, Blue Sky, Fly Arna, Armenian International Airways (Sole A320 burnt up in a fire, closed down). Could include Armavia, Fly Arna as local airlines due to their fleet being mainly available already in game. Another airport with no Ryanair flights and even better no Emirates long haul, makes things more interesting.
Unique Features or Challenges
Snowy winters, de-icing, terrain surrounding the airport is mountainous, old, now unused Soviet era terminal surrounding a control tower which is quite a feature of the airport, new modern stylish terminal building, abandoned aircraft hidden behind old terminal.

AN225 in 2009 paying a visit.
Went bust last year sadly, had 3 A320s (with and without sharklets).
Armavia, bankrupt in 2013 but had a snazzy livery.
