Why should this airport be added to World of Airports?
Itβs a massive United hub for New Jersey and New York, the biggest on the East Coast for the airline. has diverse traffic, and adds realism to long-haul operations. It would also make for a good introduction for Continental whose hub it was prior to the merger, plus could be an interesting introduction of mainline United blue tulip/battleship along with the blue rising to contrast to Continentals livery.
FedEx also has a huge hub there which would give a local cargo airline.
Major Airlines & Routes
United Airlines is the major legacy at the airport with Allegiant, JetBlue and Spirit being the major LCC/ULCC. FedEx is the major freight airline with UPS and Ameriflight having a presence. Continental used to be the big hub airline2009 (Continental era),
Unique Features or Challenges
Exceptionally busy airport, traffic volume would be fantastic to manage akin to La Guardia. Would have the New York skyline and New Jersey docks nearby, big cool control tower.Control tower and terminals,
New York Skyline and terminal,
Vincent R. Casciano Bridge and Lehigh Valley Railroad Lift Bridge (I love a good bridge),
Could also include the Bayonne Bridge to the South East of the airport behind the docks,
