Nice to finally see a new variety of aircraft in the game! I’d like you all to know what you think about it and discuss it here!
That’s a Fokker 100, seems to have been accidentally marked as an F70 on the Instagram post.
Ah yeah, I’ll edit it now!
We could still get the 70, it’s just a shortened version
Also, so much or remodeling all aircraft before adding new ones, this is the third new one before the 77lf, 752, crjs, and 748 has been remodeled?
Not complaining, definetly a nice aircraft to have, it’s just odd that the road map hasn’t been followed as we would’ve thought
Indeed, but we will wait and see for more updates on the matter! If they do tease both the 70 and 100 I’ll update the title again.
To be fair, if you’re gonna add the Fokkers, now is probably an ideal time. I mean the vast majority of them are down under these days.
It’ll also be nice for SXM and European airports, since it’s an aircraft that some airlines operate/operated pretty largely
The thing with the F100 is, what liveries can it realistically get? The developers don’t seem to add older/defunct airlines as often as they use to, so I just hope that this trend is somewhat broken with this, which certainly makes a nice change from modern day A321neo liveries for sure. Wouldn’t mind me a Jetairfly F100.
I’ll never say no to new aircraft and definitely appreciate their work but I think there’s more urgent things to do here like re-modeling of 747-8, F, adding rest of the 737 and 777 family and probably most importantly the 767’s.
Imho they should draw a road map for the aircraft models. Not timelines but a road map would be awesome so we can understand what they’re planning.
Pretty cool but also pretty niche, we already have the E170/175, BAE168 and CRJ900 so another small regional seems a bit strange, especially one thats retiring and has not many current operators. It makes sense for Sydney now though because no E170/75 operators seem to get added to the game (does anyone have a reason for this?) which Australia has many of.
Can’t complain though, a new plane is a new plane even if i wont get it
If I’m not mistaken the F100 is a similar size to the E190, so it might actually be an M plane.
I feel like that would be a fumble to do that. That’s the main reason I don’t use the E190 and use the E170/75 instead. The E190 uses to much runway length for barely any extra wollars, I mean the BAE186 has more seats but is a smaller. I personally think the E190 should be reclassed to small
Well it’s all guess work until anything is confirmed. Assuming the F70 gets added then that could fall into the S category, but all we can do is keep guessing and wait for more info.
Yeah, let’s meet the Fokkers!
My first ever flight on July 2001 with KLM. Amazing experience from Turin, Italy to Amsterdam. I got a turbulence, a couple of “showers”, as the captain called thunderstorms and tough landing at Schiphol on the wet. I’d definitely add this plane to my fleet!!
Never has been. Info from more than a year ago that we haven’t heard from since, that kind of thing changes often
The way I see it, what makes WoA fun is the variety and depth of airlines and aircraft. I’m never gonna complain about a new regional aircraft, especially those that are specific to just a few airports
I like the addition, don’t get me wrong. I think it will be good for syd because of qantaslink. However, I would’ve thought the first new aircraft would be the 767, due to community demand. I’m still fine with this though
Nice addition, though I am not sure if any of the Australian airlines still use them on flights to SYD. The only operator at SXM went bankrupt in June and the 2 F70s they operated are stored ever since. Final commercial flight of an F100 in Europe was back in November 2023, F70s were already retired when KLM and Austrian replaced them with Embraers years before that.
KLM Cityhopper, Qantas Link, and Virgin Australia that’s about it
