:pushpin: Why should this airline be added?
Founded in 1994, Fortunair Canada was a short-lived Canadian charter airline which was created by former Nationair Director, M. Joseph Sandoux, using a leased Boeing 747-200 which was manufactured in 1977 from POTO, a Washington based aircraft lease company for charter flights between Montreal and Toronto to Fort Lauderdale, Paris, Nice and other European destinations.

Services commenced on 30th June 1994, but on 19 August 1994, the Canadian courts had grounded the airline on the grounds of illicit financing from the former Nationair which was in the process of bankruptcy liqudation, but the license was reinstated shortly thereafter and flights continued to Florida and the Caribbean. In the beginning of 1995, Fortunair Canada was in a financial trouble, as the financing for these operations was unclear and operations ended on 23rd January 1995.
