General Pre-Release Discussion

I have no particular complaints about the current UI. While I understand the various opinions regarding ground handling times, personally I don’t want the fundamental balance to be significantly altered. If more opinions are to be incorporated, I’d prefer they extend ground handling time while instead starting the destination arrival time count from the moment taxiing begins like Ver.2. This would allow processing regardless of taxi route or takeoff congestion, and could serve as a balanced trade-off for the increased ground handling time.

Really? We’ve gotten 2 ui reworks in the last 3 years? I think there is some measures the devs can take to simplify the ui and make it easier to implement new features, but I don’t think we need an entire overhaul for the time being.

The current ui leaves so much room for adding new features and expansions. It really doesnt require a rework right now, especially since it still looks modern and up to date

To be honest, the idea of removing the accelerated servicing mode—as it currently exists—worried me. Large airports wouldn’t suffer much from this change; at Heathrow, for instance, it takes over three hours just to fill all the stands with aircraft. However, there is a catch: what happens to players that haven’t yet built up a large fleet?

Therefore, things won’t get any worse as long as the developers don’t spend too much time getting sidetracked by this task. In my opinion, if any changes are to be made, it would be better to supplement the existing servicing mode with a new one rather than replacing the old with the new, thereby offering a choice

It just so happens that I recently took a look at the updated Prague airport, and I hadn’t expected the number of larger parking stands to increase. Admittedly, the total number of stands dropped slightly—if you select and count the largest available stands when comparing stands (excluding the Size G cargo stand that spans the entire terminal)—but the difference was minimal: it went from 54 to 50. However, this didn’t dampen my impression of the airport renovation at all, because the number of larger stands went up from 10 to 16.

Thanks to the developers for this update. I am very impressed:blush:

Slightly unrelated to the current discussion, but have there been any developments on the fix for the graphical anti-aliasing issues recently? All of the new graphical updates look amazing, but the pixel-y grainy lines still really detract from the current look of the game.

Let’s just hope this update doesn’t make the game too heavy in terms of memory usage and internet speed requirements:face_with_spiral_eyes:. Otherwise, how are we supposed to store screen recordings and keep things running smoothly?

Can the Devs please add the following planes back?

  • Italian Airforce A319
  • Oman Air (Royal Flight of Oman) A319
  • Royal Airforce A320
  • Airbus (House) A320
  • Boeing (House) B744, (Blue House Livery).
  • Flyboys (Orca) B789, (Was the winning livery of a design competition).

Going back a long time on here to the above post, I wonder if it’s a good signifier as to what airports the devs are thinking about in the future. For example, when we got the A330 update, we got some smaller, unheard airlines and didn’t get the 2 most requested A330 operating airlines in the game, that being Air Berlin and US Airways (Cathay Dragon/Dragonair doesn’t fit this so I’m ignoring it for my point lmao).

Maybe this is signifying they’re being sat on for future airports, maybe DUS or BER are being thought about or even planned, maybe we have a US Airways airport in the works :eyes:. Also, no Northwest A330s or Mexicana (I’m clutching here hahaha).

Other examples exist too lol, Thomas Cook and Thomson’s 757’s which would fit INN perfectly are missing, maybe MAN is on the boards :eyes:. Lack of TCX Scan too, maybe we’re getting a Scandi airport :eyes:.

This is purely me being a nutter but I feel it’s a good talking point lol. DUS for next Euro airport

Do you think that with the new airport that might open at the end of the year, there will also be some further renovations? Because if I’m not mistaken, when they build a new airport, they also renovate the existing one.Time passed, and he asked me if it would be an NGO or San Diego.

I feel like they switch it up. One update is a new airport and the other is a remodel, then back to a new airport,…

I don’t feel the timeframe (next airport around Christmas) allows that…

we can expect at least 4 new airports a year, the remodeld one are so much work, that they will be calculated like new ones. And they maybe switching between kind of airports like @Ilyasaerts wrote…

Honestly yes
They feel like completely new airports to be honest
