Honestly I think the biggest thing I miss from V2 is how the contract cards used look when it came to the LOCAL, REGIONAL, INTERNATIONAL colored cards, it was so easy to tell what was what, now with just the wording it’s so hard to tell without taking a second glance, would love if they brought them back, and it would be so easy, too. Even if they just did like a colored dot.

Version 2 introduced key elements now central to v3, such as the implementation of PP and the shift from levelling up based on transport personnel in v1 to levelling up via XP. Particularly useful was the bar system indicating contract success or failure; it made it clear whether you’d miss out on rewards at 2/2 when at 4/4, or could renew the contract at 3/1.
Version 3 adopted a stylish black-and-white aesthetic, which I personally prefer, though this will naturally vary by individual taste.
What I find myself nostalgic for in passing moments are these elements and the gameplay pace from v2, before the control tower was introduced. Naturally, this can be adjusted via SP, and I don’t consider it unfair. Beyond that, I recall v2 not experiencing such frequent bugs, though this too is an experience to be had whilst progressing.
It’s simply that, for these reasons, I cannot feel the same level of profound impact as when progressing from v1 to v2.

Yeah I love the color based scheme in which you can tell the contract type immediately.
I prefer V3 UI over V2 overall but I would be very happy if there could be better ways to make that difference more distinctive.

If we just get modern airlines, we’ll have Hong Kong Express (A320 family) and Greater Bay Airlines (B738) with our C class local low cost routes, then for full service options, Cathay has 321N as well as E class aircraft on local routes like 333s which I believe we will get, and Hong Kong Airlines which has A320s. I full believe we’ll get Cathay Dragon as well with their A320 family aircraft and potentially Dragonair so there’ll be plenty of local contracts to go around.

Oh I forgot about GBA. Yeah that might also be a candidate for starting contract and it should be a local carrier.
I would probably wait since they have B737-9max ordered and I expect to have these contracts when B737 family is made into V3.

I could see the devs doing a bit of a compromise on local contracts to try and balance the gameplay. Such as having only some D and lower end Es like A330 but not perhaps B777s and so on

Maybe.
With the existing system in the game, you can have many CX widebodies as [Regional] contract at NGO and BKK, in both of which all the local carriers have contracts labelled as [Local].
This may open the door for it as [Regional] is basically the term for short distance contracts not from the local carrier.
For better realism definitely we need to have B773 and B744F/B748F to very close destinations in Mainland China (I think PVG is very close to HKG and there should be those contracts).
One particular thing I like about devs is that they do hear from players and happy to do something for better realism. I remember they did something immediately when they found QR A388 contract wasn’t available at LHR.
BTW hope they can do something to Thai at BKK as well

Yeah, the local carrier at that airport.
So when you see CX B773 as [Regional] contracts at NGO and BKK. You should probably expect these destinations to be [Local] contracts available to players at HKG.

No, it would be cool. I can say with a high degree of confidence that that won’t happen, however.
