Agree with you all, especially the local/regional cargo contracts need to be E/F types as CX, UPS, FedEx… uses big planes for short cargo flights (1 - 3 hours flights).

I wonder if they go with this approach, will it be higher XP requirement to level up, as the planes gives much more XP compared to other airports, or will it have more levels to balance it out.

Right, after looking through this mess I’ll be honest, I’m genuinely appalled at what I’ve been reading, and want to make some important points here about what’s happened.
The most important point of these is bringing up politics. On the forum, we’ve always operated with a no political discussions rule (unless of course it’s relevant to aviation). Seeing people start insulting others because they don’t share the same view as them is disappointing, and I will not tolerate users being insulted lightly.
As a direct consequence of what happened here, 2 users have received permanent suspensions following some of the comments they made towards other users. Just don’t bring up politics, and if someone else shares a different view to you, don’t start arguing and insulting them because you think they should have the same view as you.
We are an aviation forum, keep political discussions away from here please. It makes it more welcoming to both new and existing users, and prevents issues like this from occurring again. I will not tolerate political arguments, and will absolutely not tolerate anyone dishing out insults to other users. That’s not what we are here for, if you don’t like something then either ignore it, or flag the post so it can be reviewed by a moderator.
I’m not going to mention this any further, let’s get back on topic shall we.

Well, well, well. Let me conclude this mess since I was the person involved in the beginning. I don’t wish to leave all of these mess to mods as the forum is a community of all of us and there should be some responsibilities for us.

My Personal Stance
First of all, I need to stress the following:
- I have no intention to bring geopolitical issues to the forum.
- I have no intention to make any comment over the status over the Taiwan Strait
- I have no intention to debate over geopolitical issues.
- I have no intention to approve any political message.
- I have no intention to endorse any political figure or entity.
- Once I was aware my post may cause confusion to some people, I replied to a post pointed that out and edited my post at my best knowledge to minimize the potential impact
For some people (I had this for one time, of course about business, when a Chinese client emailed me and said: “I just want to ensure you have the right attitude!”) really curious about my stance, I am very happy to be in line with Australian government over this issue:
“Australia adheres to its one-China policy, which means we do not recognise Taiwan as a country.”

(And in other words we regard it as a region, and yes, Taiwan is a region of China)
The term region is generally based on so-called [Tariff Zones], as you may be aware if you deliver goods to Mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan you may be subject to different customs/border rules and tariff/duty lists. And that is the term I used in the post for [Region], I feel I should make it absolutely clear to eliminate further debates over that.
If anyone is still unhappy with this stance, please contact your local Australian Embassy/Consulate General to lodge a formal complaint. That would be the right place to discuss such concerns in relation to these issues. It would be appreciated if you can refrain from bringing it to this forum, this is not the place for geopolitical disputes.

I would like to say, please show proper respect to others on this forum, that is shown through behaviors on this forum.
For the person who escalated this mess, I have an additional question for you (I am not name calling but I feel it is not that inappropriate to let people know this):
May I kindly ask why you copied my post at SCL Pre-release Discussion and made that into yours?
I don’t think this is a form of proper respect. I typed it into the web browser by my hands rather than generated it by AI and avoid copying others’ post is a good practice on this forum. I was very disappointed at that moment and very confused about that.
And if you say the mess your brought up is just a [small issue], we see things from action rather than words. I thought it was a small issue at the moment I found my earlier post was copied. I didn’t reply to the thread and say some terrible words (while you did), or PM mods to bring this to their attention. And that was not because I am a good target to bully on, that was because I respect other people on this forum and never intend to escalate that small matter into another mess.
I replied to the second people mentioning that to me simply because the tone in that post was more polite and inviting and I immediately responded then make sure I did the right thing. That is the way to earn respect from other people, please!

No Insulting Behaviors
I also can tell you all I found a post earlier replying me (now hidden, but I can see it through other posts quoting it) to say something like [you don’t want to offend the Chinese player community because of it, do you!].
Such statement by him is absolutely unacceptable whatsoever. You cannot represent a community to judge anyone/anything, nor making verbal threat to other people on this forum. Again, this is absolutely unacceptable.
I was also very disappointed to found I was also messaged by an unknown account (I can tell you all that was the second account banned for better transparency), simply including personal attacks and very likely due to the post I had. I have contacted mods over this and I have no intention to escalate but to convince you all I need to post a screenshot. I folded that so if you would like to avoid it, just avoid clicking it.
I was really sad about such things. I don’t feel I had any intention to offend any person at the very beginning.

Respect People in Our Communities
Some of you may know that I work with a lot of Chinese people in my business (some are employees and many are clients) and my family has Chinese heritage (many Aussies do, even including the Australian F1 driver Oscar Piastri). They are really good people, caring and hardworking. And I also have somewhat positive image of the country if you check my previous posts. I just give you an example.
What I didn’t mention in that post is that guy in Chongqing, picked me up at the wrong terminal literally apologize to me three times on the car to the city and proposed if he could pay for my metro train (I told him I took the shuttle bus for no cost). They are really good people and I had really great impression on them.
So beyond that guy we do have a community with a lot of good players, some of them are contributing to the forum from my knowledge. Such terrible behaviors and all the consequences are only to themselves, not the Chinese player community.
And therefore, I also invite you all to show proper respect to Chinese players (and other players from different communities) on this forum.

Probably more levels. I will be not surprised to go through the terrible 81+ levels to unlock the next airport.

I’m hoping if we do get a lot of extra levels after 81+, we get some more funky contracts with it, especially considering we’re getting the 747 classics in the same update. Fingers crossed.

Very likely that we have to go through some 81+ levels at the new version immediately to the max level.
I post a link here to my finding about LV82 at different airport. At HKG probably we will have a LV82 like BKK, so about 1300 instead of that crazy 5000+.

There are actually plenty of C aircraft that fly into HKG. I can see 99 routes on flightsfrom.com. (You can click it and see)

Yeah, I agree, that would be awesome! At most airports we get our first D/E widebody around Level 20, but I think they could get away with throwing in something like a regional Cathay A333 rewarded contract before level 15.

I would be stunned if there weren’t a decent number of local DE contracts, in which case many people would likely have them well before level 15.

I believe everyone here is intelligent, capable, responsible, and discerning. I also believe that everyone involved understands why they are implicated and is aware of which statements contain sensitive or provocative content. As @Dreamliner said, to earn respect, you must first respect others. This is an international gaming community, not a place to repeatedly test the limits of sensitive content and then use “common sense” to gain sympathy and occupy the moral high ground. I hope that all users will avoid mentioning any politically sensitive information in the future to prevent further controversy.

As HKG is definitely going to be one of my “main” airports and as someone who doesn’t know much about that airport in real life, I’m really excited to hear there are few B/C that fly in.
I often “stock up” on as much local contracts as I can in the beginning and then toss the less lucrative contracts, this should make leveling and expanding the airport a quick process!
Echoing what others said, I think this might be the first airport I premium pass since LHR, I’m excited to see what goodies we get!

Yeah that’s what I am thinking.
If we don’t have those D/E size local contracts, I would suggest the airport to a bit boring… I think a big feature of HKG is that we have plenty of widebodies to regions nearby.
For that I really don’t mind if we have to go all the way to Lv 40 for regional and Lv 60 for international then next airport will be at Lv 90…

As someone who feels recent additions have made progress in the game take longer, I’d rather not see changes that push milestones out of reach.
Even with improved visibility, I still find myself thinking v2 was better at times.

What specifically are you thinking of? V2 had the same xp per level that v3 does except for the first few weeks after it came out.
