I completely agree! Landings on one runway, eg. 15 and takeoffs on Runway 23 would make it interesting and quite efficient. Additionally the fact that it can serve for all sizes of airplanes, combined with the system of MARS (Mulit Aircraft Ramp System) at most of the gates could makeut really interesting. The home airlines could be Condor, Eurowings, Lufthansa, DHL, discover and maybe Aerologic. This has great potential!

I don’t understand how difficult of a concept it is that crossed runways, like here, will never be used simultaneously in the game. Same goes for the million questions that have been asked about using the 2 runways in PRG. It doesn’t happen irl, so why in the world would it happen in the game?

It would be cool in the future for setups like these, when the weather is bad, for it to switch operations like irl in PRG. But setups like these can and will NEVER be using the 2 runways simultaneously…

Rant over

I see that problem. In Hamburg however, the 2 runways are used irl in most cases. That is if there isn’t too strong winds from a certain direction… And i don’t think the concept is too complicated. I mean, you can line up one aircraft whilst the other one is on approach, and you can take off once it has landed. And in the other direction , once a departing aircraft has passed the crossing, a new plane can land…

Tbf, the chap does have a point. This from today, 33 is being used for takeoffs whereas 23 is being used for landings,

Air Dolomiti operating a Lufthansa route taking off on 33 at 12:30 (Just watched an Air France takeoff right now same runway),

At the same time you can see a Swiss just landed on 23 followed by an easyJet and then 2 Lufthansa’s,

Quite the odd setup this airport has.

It is odd, but interesting and would be a cool playable feature

Another thing that could be a cool feature, would be to include the planned expansion of the terminal 2 south pier, as this would increase the number of gates by a couple.

This setup however, would make it unique among other airports… additionally this airport would be perfect for the introduction of VIP jets, with the LH technic facilities…
