:pushpin: Why should this airline be added?
Hong Kong Dragon Airlines has won numerous awards in Skytrax’s passenger surveys due to its extensive mainland aviation network, frequent flights, and rich experience in operating flights in mainland China. It has been selected as the “Best Airline in China” for six consecutive years, and as the “Best Regional Airline in Asia” in 2011, 2013, and 2014. In 2010, 2011, 2013, and 2014, it was also selected as the “Best Regional Airline in the World”.

Hoping to get Dragonair’s B74F’s at HKG with the classics update. Fingers crossed, maybe the rest of the fleet will come.

With the 747 classics coming soon, followed by the A342 & A345 and the older 737 variants, I’m really hoping the devs will revisit (and ideally completely remove) the 2010-ish* limit on regular contracts, so that we could get HDA’s B742F and B743F.

*) Lufthansa’s A306 were retired mid-2009, I think that’s the “oldest” contract we can get right now. It would be great if only liveries that are actually unique or special (anniversary/alliance/promotional) were event-specific and everything else was available for purchase. I might want to make a suggestion post for that

Fully agree, the limit really puts a dampener on some fabulous liveries that are on type’s we would still deem modern and can lock out a majority of the liveries for the likes of the MD-11 and 767-200 which really had their heyday in the 2000s, as well as if the MD80/DC10’s come, they’re likely to be relegated to specials and a small mix of types as the majority of them got retired in this era. I do believe FlyBe’s B463’s were retired in mid 2008 which is a little earlier and there might even be more so it’d be good to see.

The 2010 limit is a real pity as some of the liveries and types aren’t that old for us older players and sadly they may be missed like BA’s 737’s where only the -400 was used past 2010 with the -500 only being retired in the final couple of months of 2009, or Northwest’s 747-200’s being retired 2 days prior to the new year in 2009 which means we technically miss out on an American airline operating the -200 on passenger flights which really sucks lol.
