I really want to see the implementation of L and S gates in the south terminal, like in real life, I know UA uses D23, 25, 27, and 29 for E175s. And the inclusion of M gates in the north terminal, which the lack of L/X gates would be counteracted by new ones in the south terminal. It’s just a shame right now the gates are all mixed up as to what planes they can fit. Like you can’t put a Avianca A320 where it would actually park.

I think so, I think devs will make that landing runway on the left of the image to be another take off one…
i think the two left paralels should be landing from the top of the image like in the game and the bottom runway should be used for take offs and the right side do the same as take offs like in the current game play cause that would be so much better

From flying through IAD often over the last few years and my observations on FR24, I’d say it’s very rare to see 1L/19R (or the far left of the 3 parallel runways via satellite view like above) being used at all. Most of the time recently, landings occur on 1C/19C or 1R/19L, and most (maybe 80-90%) of take-offs occur on 30 (almost always when the flight is traveling west or in opposite direction of which 1/19’s are operating with wind), with occasional take offs occurring on 1C/19C or 1R/19L. They DO in fact operate take-offs on 30 while planes are landing overhead on 1C/19C. Stronger winds obviously changes things, but these are the standard day-to-day operations in average weather.
Also, United (and Star Alliance carriers) operate “flight banks” at IAD, where 95% of their take-offs and landings occur within the same time period (outside of hub-to-hub or delayed flights)
Morning (arrivals between 6:30-8a, departures between 8:30-9:30a)
Afternoon (arrivals between 10-11:30a, departures between 12-1p)
Evening (arrivals between 3-4:30p, departures between 5-6p)
Late Night (arrivals between 8-9:30p, departures between 10-11p)
Outside of these flight banks the airport is actually very slow, with so many domestic carriers actually utilizing DCA (Reagan National) or BWI (Baltimore/Washington) for domestic flights over IAD, which is quite a drive outside the city itself.
For game purposes, I do expect something similar to the green/purple graphic above, but it isn’t that realistic. At least with this, the airport should fill up a bit more. It’s painful to try to land 60 planes currently, especially since they take forever to clear the runway, unlike SYD, where they clear quickly.

In my opinion, as someone who lives in Washington and flys from IAD and looks at it on FR24 quite frequently, it’s more common to see arrivals from the south.
Ive been watching IAD on FR24 and you are correct that they use the south bound one for arrivals, i was just stating an opinion on how it would look cool. Are they gonna use all 4 runways cause thats gonna be massive!!!

I think remodel od IAD will be tommorow because today probably was 17 events.
We only got BKK one month ago and there has been barely any leaks about it yet so extremely unlikely

All 4 Runways are now working, i think the three parralels are used for landing (the lowest one seems to do landing and takeoff) and the only one thats not parallel is used for takeoff
And new airport New Orleans (MSY) is out
The central Runway also seems to be both takeoff and landings
Also is this meant to be spoken about on the IAD conversation page?
Kudos on the rework! Now IAD is truly a busy airport, like it should be. I look forward to the other airports catching up.

Yeah it’s unlocked. Every now and then new levels get added and they are included in the premium pass you already bought
