Innsbruck Incorrect Runway Distance

Description of the Bug: Innsbruck is coded with the incorrect runway length (in game its 3300m, and IRL it is 2000m.

I suspect that this may be more of a feature than a bug in order to allow for a greater variety of player contracts to reach this airport with an extremely short runway compared to other airports in game. If so, I’d like to see the dev team reconsider this decision. Here’s why:

  • We can buy planes for our fleet that have a minimum takeoff distance longer than the runway at the airport, as long as said airport has stands that fit that plane (ie, Concorde -T/O distance 3600m - is purchasable at BRI - runway distance in game at 3300 m), therefore, these planes are already possible for contracts from a single direction.
  • If maintaining this variety in both directions is important to the devs I would recommend that a maintenance penalty be applied when the runway isn’t long enough at either/both the departure and arrival airport relative to where the contract is from. I know this isn’t a perfect solution as planes landing on shorter runways don’t inherently need more maintenance but this increased the strategy of fleet building as well as makes the maintenance system a bit more dynamic and less stale.

I recall someone saying this is intentional, so new players can get player contracts that will boost their progress easily.
