Hey guys. I’m fairly new to this game and I am now playing PRG. I was thrilled when I saw that there are 2 runways compared to the 1st two airports I played in but just found out they are only using 1 runway. I know it’s a long shot, but is there a way to prioritize landings over take-offs when activating all features in the control tower? I had some scenarios where I had 30-40+ aircrafts waiting to land and I observed there are times where the control tower would prioritize take-offs and would send 2-3 aircrafts consecutively on the runway when there is not even a long queue for take offs. It’s a huge airport and looks dull sometimes when there are only 3-5 aircrafts in the stands.
Maybe ask the devs about that, but google says both are used in real life
Hello and welcome!
- The 2 runways at PRG aren’t used simultaniously IRL either, but not to worry, your next airport, IAD, will have 2 operational runways, one for landing only, and one for take-off only. Just level PRG and move on to the bigger airports =)
- There’s no way to change the landing/departing priority, if I’m not mistaken, it’s 1 landing and 2 take-offs, alternately. What you can do is pause take-off for a while until you fill more slots.
Have fun!
Pushback your handled planes but not made takeoff them and when theres long queue, exit from airport and reopen, their all will gone, just landed your planes but not take off.thaþs what im always doing
That’s awesome. That would definitely solve all the landings bottleneck in the runway.
I think that’s too much work. At least for me. I just usually put the phone and just leave it there when I work. The only interaction I have is extending control tower automation + assigning people to handle the aircraft. lol! But thanks, this is a good guide and I might do this when I am free.
Thanks. I actually haven’t thought of that. I will try that.
Yeah, Prague is 1 rway, but iAd currently has 2, and within a few months will be updated to 4!
PRG in the current game format will never have 2 runways as it doesn’t in real life for safety reasons. to avoid bottle necks you can do 2 things.
- manage your releases manually, so you don’t get a ton of aircraft all lining up at once, like the bulk players do
- release all your aircraft and then exit the game. the downside with this is that you lose all your landing aircraft that have not parked up at a gate and they have to re-land when you come back to the game
In V1 of the game you used to be able to change the ratio of landing to departure, that was removed when v2 came out. I know the devs have said things about re-instating something like that down the road, but we are where we are for the present and short/medium term
