:chart_increasing: Airport Type & Size
A mid-size airport with a single runway, a terminal with 11 stands for passengers and cargo services which are done from what appear to be the southernmost stands. It’s mainly a tourist airport seeing a lot of seasonal traffic during ski season.

:vertical_traffic_light: Why should this airport be added to World of Airports?
It’s an airport situated 7 miles North of Jackson, itself situated in a valley (Called the ‘Hole’ hence the airport name) between the Gros Ventre and Teton Mountains in Western Wyoming.

It’d be a great addition as an American INN with the stunning scenery and 757/D Class restriction due to the runways length, plus with no irl airlines having a base there, it’s perfect for someone to start their own regional carrier. And as an added bonus, no runway turn around’s which I know a lot of players dislike.

Doesn’t the United Rising Blue look stunning!

:airplane_departure: Major Airlines & Routes
United, Delta and America operate year round routes to Denver, Salt Lake City and Dallas respectively with many seasonal routes from all their hubs. Alaska also currently operates seasonal flights to the airport from its hubs on the West coast.

Frontier operated in and out pre-pandemic with Northwest operating there until 2010 when they were fully taken over and Delta shut the route down.

Someone thinks the same as I do ,

A few things to add:

1 - This is the only commercial airport situated in a National Park in the United States, making it unique in that way.

2 - The only shame in this airport is that it doesn’t have any unique smaller commercial operators that I’m aware of. It’s just the big 4 plus Sun Country Airlines. But… This airport has good potential with private jets and business jets. Surf Air has a Cirrus SF50 stationed here, and other private operators fly Learjets, Gulfstreams, Citations, and Phenoms.

3 - A few additional important historical aircraft:

  • Frontier (the original) Airlines – Douglas DC3 (pictured below to bribe Kuba), Convair 340, Convair 580

This could be a cool US generic airport if the devs plan to add anymore. I am a sucker for mountain scenery, so hopefully they can do something cool with that.

As a new real playable airport, I wouldn’t really want it. It’s a bit too basic for that imo

Yes! It is great! Great location, great range to other airports, etc.!

As nice as this airport is, real contracts would be boring as hell, the biggest it sees is modern day is an a319

And as nice as the scenery is, it’s not that dazzling (then again that could just be me being used to seeing Jackson like 3 times a month, I live about an hour from it and go up there regularly)

You should try living in flat old North Western England . Does have C17s visit from time to time though so I think it is about INN capable, though ofc that involves players breaking their irl routes and operating some more funky ones.

I agree, it would be a beautiful airport, but for realistic players like myself, this would be insanely slow. The biggest jet they get is a 757 from ATL, and besides that it’s A319s and E175s.

While I disagree that the view from the Teton’s airport isnt special (I’d go as far as to say it outclasses Innsbruck in my mind, but that might be myself being born and raised in Bozeman MT so I’m a bit biased @horsepowergeek ) - I’m inclined to agree with you and @Tanman .

The game as it stands is not ready for this airport. If it were to be implemented I think it would need to be after general aviation is implemented and I think it would need to allow for more historic contracts from no longer in business companies to serve it as regular contracts. Otherwise, there are a very little that sets this apart other than scenery - and I think there needs to be something beyond that.
