JER - Jersey Airport 🇯🇪

:round_pushpin: Airport Name and ICAO/IATA Code
Jersey Airport (ICAO: EGJJ / IATA: JER)

:globe_showing_europe_africa: Location (City, Country)
St Peter, 4.7mi from the capital St. Helier, Jersey, Channel Islands, United Kingdom.

:chart_increasing: Airport Type & Size
Small regional airport featuring a single runway and terminal, with a full taxiway system. It is the biggest airport in the Channel Islands, with flights coming in from across Europe and the UK, as well as flying to Guernsey and Alderney.

:vertical_traffic_light: Why should this airport be added to World of Airports?
Small Channel Island airport, could make for a fun small generic airport with some unusual local airlines. Would also be a good introduction for FlyBe’s Q400s which are missing from the game atm.

:airplane_departure: Major Airlines & Routes
Blue Islands is the major local operator with Aurigny rocking up from time to time as it is based in nearby Guernsey. British Airways operates routes to both LHR and LGW as well as seasonal routes to destinations in Spain and Portugal. easyJet and Jet2 are also both regular visitors. FlyBe used to have a massive presence at the airport and would make a good local too.

2017,

2014,

And 2010 if anyone is interested that far back (Love the amount of deceased airlines that used to fly in such as Air Berlin, Aer Arran, Air Southwest, BMI and Manx2),

:world_map: Unique Features or Challenges
Small runway limiting aircraft size to C class, with 757s being allowed to land but being relegated to remote stands. Very pretty island and aircraft take off an land over the sea.
