:pushpin: Why should this livery be added?
The last commercial flight of the MD-11 passenger variant was KLM’s PH-KCE Audrey Hepburn, from Montreal to Amsterdam on the 25/10/2014, painted in the 95th Anniversary colours. Earlier in the day, PH-KCB Maria Montessori returned from Toronto on the second last commercial flight and immediately, with sister ship PH-KCD Florence Nightingale, was sent to the paint hanger to have these stickers applied. On 11/11/2014, PH-KCB was wheeled out on static display next to the KLM DC-3 seen above, whilst PH-KCD conducted 3 flights over the Netherlands to celebrate the types retirement and the end of a long history of KLM operating Douglas aircraft. Both aircraft were then flown to the USA for storage, KCB to Crestview where she was scrapped in 2020 and KCD to Victorville after having their stickers removed. KCD was stored next to KCE where they both still remain, being used for parts (Pity one of them wasn’t kept at AMS with the F100 and DC-3, wish I had the funds to do it myself ).

It would be a fantastic livery to have as an event, being the last ever livery flown on a passenger MD-11, and one that celebrates the types history with the airline.
