:chart_increasing: Airport Type & Size
Zambia’s main airport with a single runway and full set of taxiways meaning no backtracking. It has passenger facilities large enough to take a 747-400, though the airports size allows for 747-8s and A380s which the devs could give a remote parking area to. It has cargo facilities and regularly handles 747-400Fs from the likes of Magma and Martinair. It also has a presidential area for the presidents plane and any visiting dignitaries so if we get the likes of air force one and other government planes as special events, it could park at that terminal.

Runways: 10/28 at 3,962m/12,999ft. There is a grass one but not really much point with that when no aircraft in-game can use it.

:vertical_traffic_light: Why should this airport be added to World of Airports?
Would be an easy airport to add in Southern Africa, potentially as a generic airport, which will allow lots of airlines to be added which currently have no range to any current playable airports. It allows for small and large ops on a single runway airport, where Emirates, Qatar Airways and Ethiopian regularly fly long haul wide body aircraft and KLM and BA used to fly into.

:airplane_departure: Major Airlines & Routes
Local airlines are Zambia Airways and Proflight Zambia, the former being the newly launched (2021) successor to the previous Zambia Airways which died in the 1990s. I can’t do an airline post for them as they don’t have the range but Zambia Airways operates a Q400 and 737 but used to operate a 738 which would be good for a local Southern African airline, as well as if the old airline is lumped in, it operated a 752F for a period of time so could make use of that. Proflight Zambia operates a fleet of CRJ 200s so it would also be a good airline for local ops, it also operated Dash 8-300s and not in-game JS41s and a 735.

:world_map: Unique Features or Challenges
Not much really, the presidential apron is a good feature as well as the military base to the South West with Mig 21’s abandoned on the apron and numerous cargo planes, private jets and helicopters in many stages of decomposition. Also has C27s and Mil helis at the military base.
