Wish I had Muscat, I gotta rebuild three airports though, and it’s on hold at IAD because of the new gamebreaking bug!

Question about Muscat, is there any s and m only stands or m only gates? The way I play I keep l and x on their own stands so I want to run with that if possible

no M only, but plenty of S/M only gates

Base T2 = 4
T2L = 8
T2E2 = 10
T2E3 = 2
T2E3R = 7
T2E3L = 7
Another 4 off the terminal itself

Old Terminal : 14

So 56 and the 5 cargo gates below. are purely S/M gates or stands.
Cargo Terminal 1: 4 Cargo Gates
Cargo Terminal 2: 1 Cargo Gate

I like the Tower 2 view the best at the moment, gives you the biggest view of the airport, especially based on how i have it set up at the moment.

I use Tower 1, Tower 2 or Takeoff depending where the platform operations on T2 are happening. It is very convenient for tracking the planes over the vast complex.

How I started MCT.

General
My start-up funding was 50 Golden Planes and 20 Golden Keys. This was spent on the following:

  • All services immediately boosted to level 5.
  • All services purchased to 5.
  • The building for upgrading M stands.
  • The complete Terminal T2.

Terminal Utilisation T1
As T2 is supposed to be the main terminal I decided to develop T2 from the beginning.

As such only some early flights were handled from T1, just to get the feel for the airport.
When I got my first owner plane, I decided to make T1 a VIP Terminal for:

  • My own Orange Air (Mid(dle)ea(st)) planes
  • Planes from connection partners
  • Random other player planes
  • Achievement and Reward planes

Right now, the original stands are upgraded to M to receive aircraft. It will be expanded as necessary.

Note!
The runway crossing for departing planes from T1 can be problematic. Departing planes will wait until all planes in the landing queue, that were Cleared to Land PRIOR to the Take Off permission for the departing plane, have touched down and cleared the runway. You have to watch out for using the Speed Up Arrival button, otherwise it can be a long wait.

Terminal Utilisation T2
I admit that going for the complete T2 is bit overdone in first phase of the game. But half completed buildings are not pleasing to me and the travellers who visit ( :yum:). With all that real estate available I had the opportunity to do things right and build a consistent and futureproof terminal.

With the money earned I gradually expanded T2 in 3 directions.

This is my current situation:

  • South Pier (Oman Air Only):
    501 – 504 S and M
    601 – 606 S and M

  • North Pier (Salam Air and International flights):
    201 – 203 S and M
    101 – 105 S and M
    151 – 152 S

  • West Pier:
    301 – 304 L (International)
    401 – 404 L (Oman Air Only)

Destinations management
The 20 Golden Keys were used for opening more destinations for S and M planes. Only destinations with 5 or more incoming planes were opened.

Personal Gameplay
With this initial investment, playing the game should earn the money for further expansion. Gates and stands will be added when new destinations and new unlocked arrivals from the destinations present themselves.

I am similar, but utilizing them slightly differently right now and i haven’t built out all the gates yet.

Currently

601-606, 651 and 652 = Oman Air (S and M and Special planes)
501-504 = Oman Air (with 502, 503, L only right now)

401-404 (Oman L only)
405 and 412-414 - Other X aircraft

101-104 = Salam Air
151-152 = Turkish Airlines

T1 is made up as a base for my aircraft, and some of the S other airlines (Iran Aseman and PIA
23-24 have been opened as M Cargo for now
901 = x cargo
902 = l cargo

More as I grow it further. But this is manageable for right now.
