Part of the airport is a sea-plane terminal, with 4 water landing strips, where Trans Maldivian Airways base their inter-island services within the Maldives, which makes this airport very unique. Even if it wasn’t possible, due to technical reasons, to implement their handling by players, watching the twin-otter sea-planes land, take-off and fly by would at the very least make an interesting scenery.

Just saw this post and I’m all for it, having a Seaplane version of DHC6 here would be amazing, just wondering how they would operate at islands with no official airports

I don’t know if it would be. I think somewhere like anchorage or YVR might be better, cause then you get both seaplanes and normal ops, so more people would probably play the airport.

Intresting idea it could be SXM of the Indian Ocean, with a major influent A-Class plane from all the little island nearby;
