Ok i do this too much but Ive decided to have 2 airports. The British one. And an American regional airport. (Only has 2 gates as i dont want too many American models)
So I’ve scrapped the island airport.
In December i might get some cardboard and make a winter airport but yea.
(Looks better irl my ipad camara is terrible
)

Ok thought i’d give an update from this afternoon.
Made it so the terminal kind of lights up at night.
Ill get a better picture when the airport is finished.
I also added this expansion so i can get another 2 models realistically on the airport:

I might also get a restaurant to download and print out like i might do with some gse. Like this:
So yea that’s about it so far today!

For the service roads directly adjacent the taxiway/apron, you should add the checkered border:

Imo 2010’s aviation was peak because old aircraft were still common like the md80, a310, 767, md11 and 757 but at the same time new aircraft were common like 787, a350 and a220. Also there was a good mix of quadjets like the 747, a380 and a340. I beleive it was the time with the most aircraft diversity

I would honestly go for Late 2000s I remember growing up around that time, loads of 3 to 4 engine aircraft around the time.

Might have to spend 25 pounds out of my 50 pounds saved for model aircraft for a restaurant…
Or i could save some cash by getting a warehouse.

Me being dumb i forgot i had paint for the ground…
So I suppose i am going to revamp the U.S regional airport.
The new one will have 4 gates. A road behind the terminal (and carparks, maybe a rental car place too). 3 or 4 gates. And a bigger terminal. So say goodbye to this shortlived design
